Some of the unique characteristics of the property include a private beach club on the Gulf of Mexico, 22 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, five restaurants and bars, a state of the art business centre, and above all friendly and professional staff who provide outstanding service. Complimentary morning coffee and tea are offered in Maisie's Ice Cream Parlor. The air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 245 rooms spread over 4 floors. Amongst the hotel's facilities count a foyer with a reception desk manned around the clock, lift access, a safe, a hairdresser, a bar, a games room, a public Internet connection, room and laundry services (charges apply), and parking for those arriving by car. Rooms: The classically appointed rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, cable TV, a clock radio, a high-speed Internet connection, an iron and ironing board, and Aveda products. In addition, a double or king-size bed and individually adjustable heating and air conditioning are also provided in all accommodation units as standard. Sports/Entertainment: In the hotel grounds guests will find a large swimming pool with a children's area and waterfall, a sun tan island, sun loungers, and a poolside snack bar. Further leisure options include a heated indoor pool (adults only) with exercise classes, a Jacuzzi, and a complete spa service. Sports enthusiasts may also enjoy a work-out in the gym. Guests may also make use of the four tennis courts or the championship golf course designed by Donald Ross (with reduced entry fee), or try horseshoes, volleyball, or bicycle hire (approximately 400 m from the entrance to the Pinelas Trail, a ca. 54 km paved biking and hiking path). Meals: The hotel does not offer a meal plan, but numerous restaurants may be found within its grounds. Payment: American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and VISA are all accepted in the hotel. Misc.: There is a complimentary shuttle to the golf club and the private beach club in Sand Key.
