Hello everyone Just thought I'd include this video clip.It was one of the very few I took today at the gcr's 2009 Winter Steam Gala,which was fantastic with 7 engines in steam! The video shows 30777 "Sir Lamiel" thrashing under Quorn & Woodhouse station bridge and through the platform with the 4:22pm Postal Special to Rothley Brook.Watch as the mail bags are swung out from the train as it speeds by ready to effect a pick-up a little way futher up the line! Enjoy.

Great Central Railway steam gala 1/2/09 pt2
This is still at Quorn waiting for Cromwell on the TPO first we see sir lamiel heading to loughborough followed by 63395. Then the moment we have been waiting for Cromwell steaming in with the TPO and I zoomed in to get the pick up of the post as it flew past. we had got the next train to leceister north but realised that sir lamiel was on its way back so got off at Rothley which is where we see the layout going. The Great Central Railways 'Days Out With Thomas' weekend. The GCR holds three Thomas Weekends over the year, one in February, May and August. Since I am a menber of the Soar Valley Model Railway Club, we take an Interactive Thomas & Friends Layout (at Quorn Station) to raise money for Rainbows Childrens Hospice at these Thomas events and it is also a good time for me to try out a few new camera angles in readiness for any major Galas etc. like the forth coming 40th Anniversary Gala ...
