Title:
A Tour Of Poor Dayton - Third Street Pt. 3

Description:
In the previous videos, I was taking you through West Dayton on West Third Street. Third Street expands from Trotwood to Riverside. It's a seven mile road that spans East and West. East Dayton is a vibrant community. It has some of the largest Hispanic and Latinos population in the city. The Hispanic and Latino community on East Third maintains a healthy relationship with the neighborhood. There are local bars, taverns, donut and coffee shops, a jazz club, a local supermarket, fast food restaurants and local manufacturing all located on East Third Street. Third Street is home to many businesses that serve the needs of our friends and family. The city of Dayton dedicated the road to the civil rights pioneer Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In 2006, I was interested in learning about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and CNN did a story about his name being dedicated on streets. The outlook of the community, paints a bleak picture of what economic hard-times is like. Thanks for viewing and post your comments at the bottom. If you like the Tours of Poor Dayton, you will now see them on this profile. But if you want a recap, go to my original profile http://youtube.com/LILVOKA FAQ- The reason why I call this A Tour of Poor Dayton is because of the area's declining population, people losing jobs, boarded homes, businesses closing and economic turmoil in Montgomery, Miami and Greene Counties. And mostly Ohio in general. I am giving those who have never been to Dayton a chance to understand the plight of manufacturing communities. So that will put to rest any questions of why I titled the videos!
