Returning from the Delaware Water Gap with a 10-car excursion, Steamtown's ex-Canadian National 2-8-2 3254 battles one of the worst sections of the Pocono Mt. grade, west of Cresco PA on the former DL&W mainline. After some serious slips at the Devils Hole Rd. grade crossing, 3254 actually stalled a little further up the line and had to be rescued by the 2 DL Alcos serving as westbound protection. November 3, 2007
