Last Saturday I was passing the "Zuiderkerk", a former church, when the bells started ringing. What could have been the reason for this ringing? It resembles the church ringing before the start of a religious service that I have heard in other places, but this church hasn't been used for that purpose since 1929. Also, the building appeared closed when I passed by. So I can only imagine that they were doing tests or maintenance work or was it some sort of demonstration? The ringing lasted ...
