The Colosseum was laden with men dressed as Gladiators hoping a tourist would have their photo taken with them, groups of Italian teenagers on field trips. What more could a teenage girl want?

It is an important example of medieval, civil and military architecture in southern France. There are only a few sections to visit. The main courtyard, chapel, dining room and a few rooms. Extensive gardens surround the Palace with outstanding views of the mountains. The remainder was closed for restoration but the special exhibition on religion occupied us for quite a while. |
