Description:
The snow is coming down in heavy sheets only to be hit with winds up to 17mph. It is over a foot deep and doors are drifted shut, with up to two feet deep drifts. It has only just begun and is forecast to go through the night. I just put away my snowshoes and heavy winter gear YESTERDAY!!! What was I thinking :) I am thinking I will go and get it back out as I will be walking to the Mini Mart to get milk, the police have declared no unnecessary travel. It had been snowing for two days and we had about a one foot deep blanket, of beautiful white snow, (plus or minus a few inches-here or there). It was above zero, warming to almost twenty degrees during this video capture. My weather station only recorded the wind at 31 mph, but it sure seemed windier than that! Mile High Tornado Warning- Casper, Wy - 061309 time lapse
The weather radio was warning of a possible tornado and dangerous storms all day. Then the emergency sirens added their demand for all to seek shelter immediately. The brunt of the storm was in the opposite direction of the camera's focus, but here is what it captured until my power was knocked out.
