Amazing Lightning Storm near Lorenzo and Spur Texas
When we first saw this storm it was nothing more than a towering cumulus cloud near the town of Lorenzo, Texas. Very quickly it grew into a monster Supercell thunderstorm producing baseball sized hail and lots of lightning. We drove south east to get ahead of the storm. Thunderstorm over Dallas
Sorry it's dark... it was like 9:30 pm. This is the thunderstorm that sat over Dallas that day the Cowboys practice stadium blew down. We were flying in from Witchita Falls. The little dot you see off in the distance about 5-10 seconds into the video is another airplane circling the airport... There were a few of them. We were all trying to wait out the storm but we ended up getting diverted to another airport.
