This is on the ex-L&N 'Hook & Eye' line that runs from Elizabeth (Marietta), Ga. to Etowah, Tn. These days Georgia Northeastern (owner of Blue Ridge Scenic Railway) operates the line from Elizabeth to the state line and the Tennessee Valley Railroad operates from that point to Etowah.

 | Southeastern Railway Museum train This diesel is over 60 years old and they still have it running. It is the only 1 of 2 operational locomotives. The others are in the shop i believe, along with their steamer.
