Both the Blue Devils and Green Wave were state champion runner-ups last year and are primed for another title run this year, with many returning starters and key players. So how will this one go down? Will the Green Wave stay undefeated through-out the season and go on from there? Or will the Blue Devils play the part of "spoiler"? Gate City, Va., eyes mixed beverages in town restaurants
In May, residents of Gate City, Va., may get to choose whether or not mixed beverages can be served at restaurants. But to get the referendum on the ballot, about 40 more signatures need to be collected before the end of Friday. Officials are confident they will gather the support to put it to vote, and that serving mixed beverages can spur economic development on several fronts. Video by Rain Smith, timesnews.net.
