R.I.P 87022 'Cock O the North' Dec 29th 20007

Description:
Due to defective West Coast Railway Company Stock the fully booked out 'Electric Scot Farewell Tour' had to be cancelled at Wolverhampton with CDL Problems. This was a huge dissapointment to all the people who were hoping to travel on the tour that day. No two people felt it more than myself and best friend '87006' who grew up with these amazing loco's on our back door step in Macclesfield. Only to see them replaced by Italian pieces of plastic that Virgin preferred to 'Proper Locos!'..! So after 34 Years of relieable service The 'Electric Scots' died out without a send off.. :( At least the AC Loco Group rescued 87002 later in 2008!! Please rate and comment.. Many Thanks 87002theBEAST

87028 is seen passing Plat 5 at Crewe in December 2007. Unfortunately heard in the background is a stupid Pendolino which took over these wonderful AC Electric Locomotives. This was one of 87028's last workings before being stored prior to export to Bulgaria.
Freightliner 86's Scream at Hartford
2 Freightliner green 86's are clearly accelerating on their way north through Hartford as they scream past camera. That AC Sparky sound used to be a regular sight and sound on the WCML till the end of 2004.. :( sad days! Enjoy please rate and comment. Thanks 87002thebeast

Glasgow Rail Station 11th July 2009
After a long journey to Glasgow via The Electric Scot hauled by 87002, I do a little bit of filming of what its like at the station (Central). Ofcourse it flooded with 156s, we get suburb comuters like 318s and 314s ith 334s to Ayr. Also Virgin trains to London and Birmingham, NXEC to Newcastle and London and Transpennie Express to Manchester with a few Cross Countries also servicing. Enjoy. THE ELECTRIC SCOT
Saturday the 11th July: What was going on here well how about 87002 to Glasgow Central And Ayr?. For those who missed it this was Spitfires Electric Scot tour. Now there would have been more shots of the 87 if WCRC had'nt screwed up the formation of the stock meaning that those in premier dining had the joy of the 87 near them on both journeys. However I digress a great day was had by all on this tour and Spitfire deserve the thumbs up. So heres the shots I got of the 87 and one of the 47 if ...

Virgin's First Loco-Hauled Euston-Preston (90018) Crewe.
A trip to Crewe was on the cards for Friday the 20th February 2009 to see the first working of Virgin's vice-pendo diagram. The same working had been running a few weeks earlier but as a pair of 221s. This time however it was headed up by DB Shenker, ex-EWS 90018. The rolling stock consisted of some ex-Virgin red and black Mk3s and some of the refurbished Cargo-D blue and grey ones. The sight of it flyinig through Crewe wound back the years to when Locomotives ruled supreme on the WCML. Also ...
