Northeast N-Trak had three seperate loops, making up their layout at the Big Train Show in West Springfield MA for 2009. In one loop was Twin-Trak. A two track shelf layout design. The other two loops were of the three track main lines. Here in one of the loops, my n-scale Conrail train passes through a Great Northern engine terminal modelled by a member of Valley N-Trak from Connecticut.

 | Rogers Basement 4 18 09 008 I visited a local home with a huge basement layout. I captured one complete loop. It took over three minutes. He also has a whole room for just switching cars at local industries. Very impressive. Uses Code 70 on mainline, code 83 off mainline and code 100 for staging. It's an expanded shelf layout with a pennisula loop in the middle. Three levels in all. Models steam to diesel (F7s) era - mid to late 1950s. |
