Shot in the upper Walbran Valley in the July and August of 2006.

The Walbran Valley is unprotected, unceded Native land. It's part of the remaining 1% of ancient rainforest valley bottoms on Vancouver Island and it's indescribably beautiful. The loggers are currently on strike - perhaps we can encourage an end to clearcut logging, and no more raw log exports to the USA and Asia. Tree of Life Celebration (Walbran Valley, BC, 2004)
On October 9, 2004, five hundred conservationists organized by the Western Canada Wilderness Committee, Rainforest Action Network, Gettin' Higher Choir, and Spectral Q, converged in a Weyerhaeuser clearcut in the Upper Walbran Valley calling for the protection of ancient forests around the world. See Jeremy Williams' documentary on this historic event, the largest environmental gathering in bc's woods since the Clayoquot Sound protests in 1993.
