"What is the value of money? What is the value of art?" asks gallery director Catherine Morgan. See introduces the first $1,000,000.00 oil painting in Hawaii by Theodore Jankowski.This Picasso-like piece is showing at North Kohala Artists' Cooperative, Kenji's Place near King Kamehameha Statue in Kapaau on Big Island 11 am - 5 pm • 7 days a week. The colorful, million-dollar painting is called "Summerfield". Catherine says, "Theodore Jankowski is probably one our most professional, long term, trained and widely acclaimed painters. His work is unusual, playful, serious, joyful. Whenever he brings in a new piece it always causes a stir." This video was shot and edited by staff and students of Maka Aina Filim School as a public service announcement for the artists of North Kohala and as encouragement for artists everywhere.
