This was recorded 10/23/07 just after noon. With fires burning all across So Cal this fire broke out in the Newhall Pass just north of LA. Hel Co is the chopper flying high above the fire coordinating the drops. Quebec 1 & 2 are the super scooper planes loaned to LA County from Canada. Pilots voices have Canadian accents. |

The Mars is currently stationed here in socal at Lake Elsinore about 25 miles away. Most of the fire fighting aircraft are flying out of Fox Field and I live just 2 miles from and almost directly in line with the runway. We have been watching the brave crews of the fire bombers flying over our house the last couple of days at a rate of one aircraft every five to ten minutes.
