Sunday, Sept. 21 Our Community is Fair Day and the Rubber Hand Pipe takes a stand by the pond. Beautiful sunny day and all the kids came and young at heart. Everybody coloring surgical rubber gloves. This project began about 5 years ago at a Teen Arts event. Artists Judy Wray and Little Bobby Duncan brought in a 12 ft high PVC pipe with a base of car wheel rims welded together. The Crocodile Pipe
Note: This video cuts off because my storage card was low on memory :-( During my Summer '08 trip to Teopztlan I made a few additions to my crocodile/alligator collection. One of these was found during a weekend market- a clay music pipe shaped like a crocodile and glazed with blue. I think it sounds pretty cool and my fellow travelers said it was quite unique :-)

Flying Beetle goes home! Harts Lane, East Brunswick, NJ. Many years ago (in a kingdom by the sea ) an old Hungarian gave a gift of half a beetle to a group of artists. They took the beetle gratefully and it multiplied and flew many places. Now it has returned home with a story to tell.
