EZStepper Horse Shoes

Title:
EZStepper Horse Shoes

Description:
The E-Z Stepper horseshoe promotes natural hoof growth by virtually eliminating concussion upon impact with the ground. The negative energy is dissipated to the shoe and not the hoof, joints, tendons or ligaments of the horse. This will reduce the occurrence of splints, wind puffs, bone chips and soft tissue damage.

Equine Distal Forelimb; Tendons and Ligaments
A computer-generated movie that accompanied my phd thesis. The movie shows many of the major tendons and ligaments in the equine distal forelimb. The models of the bones were created from real equine limb bones using in-house photogrammetric software that I wrote. The bones were imported into Blender, and the ligaments and tendons were modeled by hand. Finally, a custom renderman exporter script was used to export the models and camera animations to the Aqsis renderer.
Farrier "hot shoeing" a horse
Farrier cauterizing the hoof of a Trakehner mare. He heats the horseshoe in a small furnace (in his truck) and then shapes it on an anvil. Once it's cooled a little, he puts the shoe on the foot to help seal it against dryness or moisture, as well as to determine to fit of the shoe, and I'm sure many other reasons. This particular shoe is a natural balance shoe.
