During the next two weeks, Obama will travel to states which typically do not vote for Democrats in general presidential elections. ------------ Meantime -- John McCain is chiding Barack Obama for his reluctance to join him at a town hall meeting. McCain was in Richmond Virginia today -- attending a '10-thousand dollar a ticket' private fundraiser. The presumptive Republican nominee wants Obama to joim him at a series of town hall meetings before the summer conventions ------------ First lady Laura Bush says she admires the "grit and strength" Hillary Rodham Clinton showed in her run for president. Mrs. Bush says however, she'd prefer to see a republican woman becaome the first female president. Bush also defended Barack Obama's wife -- saying her recent comment on whether she had always been proud of her country, was quote, probably "misconstrued." ___ ___, The Associated Press, with AP Campaign Minute.
