Sailing on Tampa Bay
A few years ago I flew my Glasair homebuilt aircraft from Dayton, Ohio to St. Petersburg, Florida to go sailing on Tampa Bay with my Brother-in-law, Dave. Dave built a 48 foot trimaran boat, he docks at St. Petersburg Harbor, just across from Whitted Airport, where he was working as an aircraft mechanic. We sailed from St Pete to Longboat Key where we anchored overnight and returned the next day. I flew back to Dayton the following day.
