This is a movie about three astronauts who travel to Venus to search for the lost crew of a previous failed expedition. When they get to Venus, they find themselves surrounded by dangerous organisms. They kill a flying reptile, and this angers a primitive tribe of telepathic women who worshiped it as a god. There is almost no music in the entire movie, and I'm left wondering if the director did that on purpose for dramatic effect, or if they just didn't have the budget for it. The movie takes place in the year 1998, which would have been considered the future in the year it was made. Interestingly, it was made the same year as 2001: A Space Odyssey. This movie is supposed to be in color, but the film quality is so bad, and the picture is so desaturated that at some parts that you can't even tell. I doubt that the original movie is like that; it's probably just my copy. Personally, I find this to be a bad movie. And when I say "bad", I don't mean in that "so bad, it's good" kind of way like with Robot Monster or Plan 9. The movie is really slow-paced and just plain boring.
