At about 1:50pm GFD was dispatched to a reported still alarm in the 2300 block of Edison, on arrival Battalion 8 advised a working fire in a 1.5 story frame single family dwelling. The header was clearly visible from 80-94 and Central. Firefighters stretched 3 lines to bring the fire under control and nobody was injured at the fire scene.

Police being first on scene advised a fully involved car fire with an exposure. Within minutes Fire Department Crews started arriving at the scene, smart thinking Fire 4 was able to save the pick-up from being a total loss with the use of his fire extinguisher. On arrival heavy fire was reported in the rear of the building. This was the second fire within two hours and both buildings were sites of previous fires.
