Ray Lynch - Celestial Soda Pop - Autumn Colors in Japan - RELAXATION AND MEDITATION VIDEO

Description:
The hit "Celestial Soda Pop", theme music from the "The Seasoned Traveler", PBS's travel show. From the album Deep Breakfast, a classic of the genre, and the first independently released album to be certified Gold, and later Platinum. Over 1.3 million albums sold. Ray Lynch (also known as Raymond Lynch) is a classically trained guitarist and lutenist. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1943 to a musical and artistic family[1]. His mother was a classical pianist and watercolor artist. At age 6, Lynch began studying the piano until age 12, where he was inspired by the music of Andres Segovias classical recordings and decided to pursue a career in music. He attended both St. Stephen's Episcopal School as well as Austin High School in Austin, Texas, then attended the main campus of University of Texas for one year before moving to Barcelona, Spain where he apprenticed to the classical guitar teacher, Eduardo Sainz de la Maza, for three years[1]. Leaving Spain, Lynch then returned to the University of Texas where he studied music composition. While at college Lynch was invited to New York City to join The Renaissance Quartet where he performed the classical guitar and lute for several years[1]. . Deep Breakfast has sold over 1 million copies without the benefit of performing, and was the first independently released album to be certified Gold by the R.I.A.A.[2] Lynchs third album No Blue Thing (1989) won two Billboard Awards, and in 1993, Lynch followed up with his fourth album, the classical Nothing Above My Shoulders but the Evening featuring members of the San Francisco Symphony. Lynchs fifth and most recent album, Ray Lynch: Best Of, Volume One (1998) is a retrospective of his work and includes three new music tracks. Japan Autumn Red Leaves (紅葉) In Japan, while spring is the time for viewing sakura (cherry blossoms), Autumn is Japans most colorful season. It is the season for a good long walk to take in and enjoy the colourful scenery, bathe in secret or exotic onsen (hot springs) to relax body and soul and explore the autumn flavours at the table. Kouyou (紅葉) in Japanese literally means red leaf or leaves, but is widely used to describe both the autumn color changes of deciduous trees and the leaves themselves. In autumn, Japanese maple is famous for its red leaves, but you can also enjoy the yellow leaves of ginkgo and beech trees. Each year, starting in late September, the kouyou front (紅葉前線) slowly moves southwards from the northern island of Hokkaido until it reaches the lower elevations of central and southern Japan towards the end of November. In Japan, enjoying trees awash in beautiful colors is called momiji-gari (紅葉狩り). Kari or gari (狩り) usually means hunting or gathering, but here it means appreciating leaves vibrant with autumn foliage, kouyou. Famous spots for autumn leaves are scattered across the country, especially in mountainous regions, parks, temples and gardens. Below is the list of top 10 destinations for momiji-gari. (* Based on 2007s ranking). Arashiyama (嵐山) - Kyoto Prefecture Nikko (日光) - Ibaraki Prefecture Hakone (箱根) - Kanagawa Prefecture Kourankei (香嵐渓) - Aichi Prefecture Minoh (箕面) - Osaka Prefecture Higashiyama (東山) - Kyoto Prefecture Oohara (大原) - Kyoto Prefecture Oirase-keiryuu (奥入瀬渓流) - Aomori Prefecture Shosenkyo (昇仙峡) - Yamanashi Prefecture Okutama (奥多摩) - Kyoto Prefecture
