Up again at 5 a.m. to film the last weekend of the diverted Margam to Llanwern Steel Trains over the Central Wales Line via Craven Arms. We start at Pantyffynnon at Dawn on a very quiet and still morning where 66142 accelerates away after picking up the token for Llandilo. We then see the train arriving and departing over the A40 Road on it's way North. I then just catch it as it pulls hard up towards Sugar Loaf summit through Cynghordy. Next stop is Llanwrtyd Wells, followed by the train passing through the small station of Cilmeri and finally after arrival at Llandrindod Wells where the engine is heard starting up for a crew change with 66248 running in the opposite direction...Plenty of horn action so please enjoy...Bob

450 Stearman start up.
Starting up a 1941 Stearman with a Pratt & Whitney R-985, 450 horsepower engine. Engine has been sitting for 4 months between starts and gives a nice smoke job.

Tuesday 17th March 2009 - Bright and Breezy. London Midland Desiro 350126 heads south past Wilson's Crossing and crosses with 350242 heading north, but giving a clear comparison of the front end designs. I apologise for the wind noise; from now on I will be using "Uncle" Bob Masterman's audio tip - micropore medical tape.

Another video as I'm still unable to save videos on my computer. Hopefully can go to at least another railway before the end of the summer, Preferably somewhere new like the Avon Valley or Gwili which I have wanted to go to for a while, Preferably the Gwili as the Avon is slightly nearer and easier to get to another time, even if theres only 15 minute diffrence between them!
Mid norfolk autumn diesel gala lineside 26.9.09
Watch in HQ I decided for this gala to do lineside, which meant me and James had to do a lot of walking, in total we walked about 12miles, there was an early start so we could make the first train of the day, which was hauled by the 31 to wymondham abbey passing us with some nice tones, then the Intercity liveried 73 passes with some cracking tones from the driver, so nice one him. We then move off to some other locations and we see DRS 37510 in action with lovely thrash and tones a few ...

Garratt Gathering at Manchester Museum of Science and Industry pt 1
This was filmed on saturday the 15th august at the museum of science and industry at manchester. there was a huge Garratt Gathering and ended up going to film them the day of going away. Just through the gates there were 2 models running up and down the bigger Garratt is 5928 Mount Kilimanjaro. Then in the background replica L & M loco Planet is seen running with a passenger train.
