A Tour Of Poor Dayton - Riverside, Ohio Pt. 2
Title:
A Tour Of Poor Dayton - Riverside, Ohio Pt. 2
Description:
Again, I take you through Riverside, Ohio. A community broken up into many segments. I am in the area near Wright Patterson Air Force Base, a major military hub in the United States. I travel through Airway Road, through Dayton's Eastern Hills neighborhood (more later), Woodman Drive, Burkhardt Road, the infamous low bridge at Spinning Road under the US 35 freeway and among other things. Caroll Christian High School, Walter Stebbins High School and Mad River Local Schools are a part of the Riverside area. Riverside absorded Mad River Township in the 1990s. It's broken between parts of Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, Huber Heights and Harrison Township. Thanks for viewing and post your comments at the bottom. If you are interested in my video of Dayton visit this profile or my other profile at http://youtube.com/LILVOKA FAQ- The reason why I call this A Tour of Poor Dayton is because of the area's declining population, people losing jobs, boarded homes, businesses closing and economic turmoil in Montgomery, Miami and Greene Counties. And mostly Ohio in general. I am giving those who have never been to Dayton a chance to understand the plight of manufacturing communities. So that will put to rest any questions of why I titled the videos!

![]() | National Road BikeWay We go bike riding a lot. This is one of the trails we like the most. It's in St. Clairsville, Ohio. It's a "Rails-to-Trails" bike trail, which means the trail used to be a train track that wasn't used anymore. Half way through the trail is an old train tunnel. About 59 ft. from the tunnel's entrance you can feel about a 15 degree drop in temp. The trail is very scenic and apparently there are monsters in the tunnel? Pay attention to Tyler's reaction. We wanted it to be "quick cuts" just like the famous film shown on the Smothers Brothers show of art work set to the same music. Of course we had no editing equipment, so we had to shoot it that way in the camera. It took weeks of walking ... |
