I went to Acton Bridge for 20(!) mins today - It took an hour and a half to travel there and back!! I just missed a 'kettle' thanks to a f*cking farmer in his tractor, but I got DBS 90036 (NOT in SNCF livery) heading a train of STVA car carriers on a Halewood-Dagenham run, and Freightliner 90045 (in CLASSIC livery) with an unidentified NB 'liner. THE FIRST VISIT OF A 222 TO THE NORTH WEST

57316 (in neutral blue livery) heads the 05:22 Holyhead-Cardiff Central service away from Chester. Full ATW liveried 57314 brings up the rear, dead.

Back in January 2008, the last of Merseyrail's 4 nominated 'Capital of Culture' units made it's way (with a little help from skip 14!) to Crewe for application of red 'sporting' vinyls. I have taken advantage of the better quality afforded to users of editing software, and have decided to remake this old fave. Interesting to note that 67014 is now Silver and Grey, and works for WSMR on the Wrexham-London services...

Dbschenker & GBRf engineering works 28/3/2009
66193 and 66706 head what I saw of the weekend engineering works around the gravesend area. In our first shot we see the 66 and its load emerge from Higham tunnel and then pass through on its way to Hoo junction from Dartford. We then follow the load as it backs into the Up yard.
