I80 on Merle Hay Exit
We are on Merle Hay road, near the on ramp to I 80. Most of the businesses have sandbagged here becuase the river is so high. Our guess is that the road will be under water in a matter of days, as will parts of 80. You can really get an idea how close the interstate is from flooding here.

Flood of 2008: Iowa City (City Park)
Major flooding in Iowa City Park on Thursday, June 12th, 2008. The water almost completely covered the lower part of the park, and the worst hasn't even come yet. The flood is expected to be at its worst on Friday, June 20th, 2008, with water levels of up to 31 feet. The water has covered the little league baseball fields, cancelling their games indefinently (their season is probably over for this year). You can see the flooded baseball fields and the tennis courts at 1:45 to the end....
