I decided to re-upload this because YouTube somehow recently made the video completely off sync from the audio. I also smoothed out the transitions, brought the volume level up and tried to make the video quality less grainy. This was originally uploaded in November of 2006. Thanks to everyone that commented, rated and 'favorited' the clip over the years. Umm... 're-enjoy'! Here is the original video description: This clip features some of my favorite grooves that I have composed over the years. Some of these grooves are more difficile to nail than others, but what intensifies the difficulty is how I execute them (leading with the left side of my body). I have been playing an "open stance" setup for about a year now. Open stance was developed by Mike Mangini and utilizes criss-crossing cable hi-hats (and either a double bass drum pedal or two bass drums), enabling he or she to lead with either side of their body.
