 | KWVR 'Summer Steam Gala' - Saturday 27.06.09 My first visit to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway was on Saturday 27th June 2009, during the line's first 'Summer Steam Gala' which has been created because the 2008 '40th Anniversary Gala' was in June and proved to be a great hit. Locations include Myholmes viaduct, Oxenhope, Damens loop and Keighley station. Some shots were also taken on Keighley bank.  | KWVR Mainline shuttle 2009 behind 5690 'Leander' Well, I got to the Worth valley 20mins behind schedule as my train from Leeds was late, so I decided to go on the mainline shuttle and I am extremely glad I had, it was possibly my best steam experience yet!!! Unfortunately, I could window hang all the time due to me not having any eye-protection and it hurts bad enough at 30mph so I did want to experience the feel at 60mph!!! |
