Mexican Tamales with Chorizo
Description:
INGREDIENTS: 2 poblano chilies 1 cup chopped tomato 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 pound (500 grams) chorizo 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese in sticks or cubes or any cheese that you like 2 ears of corn 1 and 3/4 cups masa harina (para tamales) 1 cup heated chicken broth 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 2 tablespoons sugar 1/4 cup lard (manteca) Corn Husks or you can use the husks from fresh corn Serve with sour cream and hot sauce. Refried beans and rice go with this too.
