 | Riverview Park - FLYING CARS amusement ride - 1954 CHICAGO The Flying Cars were a German-made ride built for Chicago's great Riverview Park in 1954. Riders were strapped into a small car inside a large rotating barrel. As the barrel would rotate, the riders could use a small foot brake which would allow the car to stop rolling and go a full 360 with the rotating barrel. Sounds fun! Unfortunately, someone failed to properly fasten their safety belt and was killed after falling out. That was the end of the Flying Cars. Sadly, Riverview closed for good ... |

 | Raging Wolf Bobs at Geauga Lake This is of the now SBNO Raging Wolf Bobs at the now closed Geauga Lake. Raging Wolf Bobs was designed by Curtis Summers and built by the Dinn Corporation in 1988. It started a new wooden coaster building rage across the country. The coaster originally had trailered PTC trains, but over the years they were changed to Gerstlauer trains.
