Machias Blueberry Festival What Cheer? County Wide TV News

Description:
Despite rain on Saturday, the Machias Blueberry Festival could not be stopped. County Wide TV news covered the event as "What Cheer? Brigade" a 19-piece group from Providence, Rhode Island paraded through the entire festival. The annual event draws about 20,000 people to the town that has had a population of 2,500 for nearly the past 100 years. The festival is put on by the Centre Street Congregational Church and has attracted national attention from ESPN for its annual Blueberry Pie Eating Contest. Of course, we like all the events including the Road Race, Crafts and the Blueberry Muscial. A local group of women perform each year in the musical as the Tambourine Toccatas. It has attracted the attention of a New York TV station that watch this on YOUTUBE with nearly 3000 other YOUTUBE views. So sit back and enjoy WHAT CHEER? at the Blueberry Festival. They performed at the annual BLACK FLY BALL that night, but alas that is another story (and probably a YOUTUBE video). Remember for 32 years you have read it first and now you SEE and HEAR it first in County Wide Newspaper. To get our on-line newspaper contact us at countywidenews@hotmail.com

Machias Park, Bolivia - destroyed!
Machías Park is situated in the amazonic rainforest inside Bolivia, and it served as refuge for many rescued wildlife animals. Meanwhile, President Evo Morales is awarded international recognition, via the United Nations General Assembly, for his efforts and achievements as ...
