**WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!** 8/8/09: After hours of constant Pittsburgh Line action of train after train wrapping around world famous Horseshoe Curve...the line FINALLY went dead. And by dead I mean DEAD. So, what better way to pass the time than to dance around the East Side Overlook and make complete fools of ourselves, and most importantly, let the WORLD see EVERY move!! Hell, we even included a railfan rendition of "It's Raining Men" for crying out loud! If thats not entertainment, I don't know what is. *IMPORTANT!* If you or know somebody who happened to be at the Horseshoe Curve Park on this day August 8th, 2009 that had a camera rolling and has footage of this video from down in the park...PLEASE, and I mean PLEASE upload it and respond to this video!!  | NS 23W at Horseshoe Curve's West Side **WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!** After a big run up the face of a mountain (literally), we find this WB intermodal working its way up the 1.45% grade at Horseshoe Curve. Here at the curve, the grade is slightly easier then the grades on both ends of it. East towards Altoona, the ruling grade for westbounds is 1.74%.  | NS 16E Thru a Torrential Thunderstorm w/ SD40-E Helpers @ Portage, PA ** WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!** 6/25/09: After being at "NY" for a few hours, Hannah (Pittsburgh East Dispatcher) routed SD40-E's 6307/6304 to go to pick up the 16E, or as she said it: "...16E, E as in Edward". It would be another 3 HOURS before any word of the 16E was heard over the radio, and with each hour, the weather proceeded to get worse and worse. By the time 16E made it to SO, 8 miles away in South Fork, the skies opened up with everything they had. And of COURSE I left all the towels ... |

 | Truly Beautiful All-Blue CR Lashup on NS 11J @ Cassandra, PA **WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!** 7/1/09: Monday's loaded auto train 18N went up the west slope at 7:15AM, and of course...I slept in that day. Normally I could care less about missing an autorack train, but when the autorack train in question had a SOLID and I mean SOLID lashup of Conrail blues for power...yea, you get it. BUT!! Life is full of second chances, and I took my second chance and RAN with it. Heads up from o00o00ozy's area told that that same lashup of power would be running back west ... |
