Airbus A380 First flight to Heathrow
Tuesday 18th March 2008 marks a date where history is made. The first ever A380 commercial flight into Europe landed at Heathrow at 15:05. The A380, or "super jumbo" stands at over 24 metres high — about the same as your average 8 storey building. It's also the first ever double-decker plane and can seat more than 470 people in 12 exclusive Singapore Airlines Suites on the main deck, 60 Business Class seats on the upper deck and 399 economy seats on both decks.
