Description:
People affected by Down Syndrome openned for the first time in Kosovo. In our country, 516 children are reported to suffer from this syndrome. Four of these children are currently enrolled in primary school; nine are enrolled in pre-school institutions, and thirty one currently attend mixed classes. Of all 516 children affected with Down syndrome thirty-nine children aged 3 months - 23 years old await cardio surgery. Nineteen others aged 1-26 years old suffer from lung diseases.
