Title:
Prem Rawat at an border opening celebration in Trieste

Description:
Italy and Slovenia Celebrate Border Opening with Prem Rawat Trieste, Italy, November 1, 2007 -- Prem Rawat gave a keynote speech in Trieste, Italy, at an event called "Peace, a Message without Boundaries," honoring the upcoming opening of the borders between Italy and Slovenia in December 2007. The event was held in Teatro Rossetti under the patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, the President of the Council of Ministers, the Region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and the city of Trieste. Over fifteen hundred people attended, including hundreds of people from Slovenia, many government and civic leaders such as the Governor, the local Chief Justice, the Chief of Police, the head of the Jewish community, and representatives of the UN's Food and Agricultural Organization and Rotary International, as well as many other distinguished guests. Prem Rawat was welcomed before the event by Riccardo Illy, President of the Assembly of European Regions at the European parliament, President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region of Italy and CEO of Illycaffe. After reviewing the history of tragedy surrounding the shifting of borders in this area, Mr. Illy said, "This is the best possible moment to organize an event on this topic in Trieste because Slovenia is about to enter the Schengen area, so that this border between Italy and Slovenia will be forever eliminated, and the conditions for a lasting peace will finally be built." A noted journalist read a message of welcome from the President of the Republic. Then Mr. Alessandro Tesini, President of the Regional Council, delivered a welcoming speech where he said: "For the first time in history, a new way of defining territories does not come from a conflict related to divergent views on where a border should be. For the first time in our history, people are coming together freely and deciding to live together in harmony, in a state of peace that is above borders. I am glad that Prem Rawat is with us tonight. I had the pleasure to be at the Senate in Rome when he held an event on this same theme, and where people expressed how his message helped them live in harmony across the border between Lebanon and Israel during the recent conflict." In his address, Prem Rawat said, "Where does the desire for peace come from? If it is innate, fundamental to every human being—like food, breath, sleep, thirst, water—[then] without it, we cannot be. This is our foundation, the need from our heart every day pushing us to be content, to find that missing piece of the puzzle. "The formula has already been unfolded, and it is us—each one of us. What you're looking for is within you, that peace for you as a human being is not impossible, but very, very possible." Later, in his blog, Mr. Tesini wrote, "The message that peace starts first of all from us and that each one of us has a responsibility for it, is as old as the world. But it is just as absolutely betrayed and forgotten. The issue is how to explain that in such simple and persuasive words. Prem Rawat does that every day, in every part of the world. He did it tonight in Trieste. In silence, fifteen hundred attendees of all ages and walks of life listened attentively, mesmerized by his message at the Rossetti. At the end, they saluted him with a long and warm applause, smiling. Because peace is first of all a way of being, then a way of thinking and of behaving." As the event was closing, Prem Rawat received gifts of appreciation from the Mayor of Trieste and from the President of the Trieste Province. French president Nicolas Sarkozy drunk at G8
Obviously drunk. This video was recorded during a press conference held by recently elected french president Nicolas Sarkozy during the G8 summit on june 2007. This is the translation of the video from the french: reporter: I would like to show you the beginning of the press conference held by french president Nicolas Sarkozy at the end of the summit. He just had lunch with the russian president Vladimir Putin and it seems that he had more to drink than water. Sarkozy: Ladies ad Gentlemen, I apologize for my lateness, dued to the length (smiles) of the dialogue I just had with Mr Putin (smiles again)(pause). How do you want to procced, do I answer your questions? So have you got any question? (smiles). Go ahead. Yes, yes. Well, um. French tv did not release this video (this recording comes from a Belgian tv show). Sarkozy said many times during the campaign drinking goes "against (his) lifestyle" and that he never drinks alcohol. The official explanation on Sarkozy's behaviour is that he was late, had to run to the conferencea and was then breathless. Some people think it is a funny explanation since he is also famous in France for being a good runner. Thanks a lot for your hilarious comments. Please no insult whatever your opinions are.

Prem Rawat -Leading Voice of Peace
Born in India, Prem Rawat also known by the honorary title Maharaji Maharaji started addressing audiences at the age of three and gave his first published address when he was only four. At eight, he started presenting his message of peace throughout the Indian subcontinent. At thirteen, he was invited to speak in London and Los Angeles. Since then, more than 9 million people in over 250 cities and 50 countries around the world have come to him for inspiration and guidance. The dissemination of his message, which is made available in more than 88 countries and 70 languages, is entirely supported by voluntary contributions and the sale of related materials. He supports himself and his family through independent means. He founded The Prem Rawat Foundation, which promotes his message of peace and spearheads significant humanitarian initiatives around the world. About Maharaji's Message Maharaji's message is simple and profound. Speaking at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, he said, "Peace needs to be in everyone's life. Of all the things we have tried in this world, there is one thing we have never given a chance. That one thing is peace. If we want to hope for something, maybe we could hope in our heart that peace will come in our life. The peace we are looking for is within. It is in the heart, waiting to be felt, and I can help you get in touch with it. It is not the world that needs peace; it is people. When people in the world are at peace within, the world will be at peace." For those who wish to make peace a reality in their life, he offers inspiration and guidance. "What I offer people is not just talk," he says, "but a way to go inside and savor the peace that is within." About Knowledge "What I offer is more than words. I offer the know-how to access the experience of peace and fulfillment within. I call it Knowledge. "What Knowledge makes possible is an enjoyment of life that is independent of circumstances. It is a way to connect to the experience of the self that lies within. To guide people through the preparation process, Maharaji has produced videos called "The Keys." There are six Keys. Each one of them is a key point in the preparation. http://thekeys.maharaji.net/ MAHARAJI maharaji Maharaji MAHARAJI maharaji Maharaji MAHARAJI maharaji Maharaji MAHARAJI maharaji Maharaji MAHARAJI maharaji Maharaji MAHARAJI maharaji Maharaji
