This train is heading to Marlette/Brown City area with 65 grains to be filled. They left Saginaw around 08:30 today 12/11/07. 8802 is usually working the Durand yard and rarely is seen in the thumb.

Extreme Snow ...AHHHH!
HESR doing a bit of drift busting but things go a bit wrong with the tripod. I had my camera set up about thirty feet from the drift. As I look back maybe I should of set up forty feet back. Of all the mistakes I made I like this one the best. PS the camera was just fine.

We got close to 8" of snow the night before and when I heard a train horn I thought I'd head to Reese to catch some drift busting action,but that was not the case. As I was entering Reese scanner talk let me know that the train was on the former Port Huron line from Saginaw. I knew it would be a long shot to catch this train but turned towards Buena Vista anyway. Here they are crossing Outer Drive not as fast as I wanted to catch them going but still a sizable grain train.

HESR's 800 job bringing a large train into Saginaw
Units 3867/3875 are pulling a train of around 70 cars into Saginaw yard they then ran around their train and proceeded to their yard on the other side of the river.
Lake State railroads 281 an Alco enters Bay City.
This train is entering hesr's rail yard from Kawkawlin. The unit and the line is former D&M. Also in tow is one of hesr's B30-7's b-units leased to Lake State.
