On 1/3/2008, the Mountaineer Marching Band: The Pride of West Virginia flew back from Phoenix, AZ after an exciting victory at the 2008 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. During the flight, the pilot decided to celebrate with the band by traveling off course and lowering altitude way ahead of schedule so that the band could see Morgantown from the skies.
