CSX Coal at Hawk's Nest, West Virginia
This coal drag stalled near Cotton Hill, along with another eastbound and had to wait on engines from Hinton to be added to the consist. The one added on this one was a GP40 in the Operation Lifesaver scheme with the Huntington Division noted on it. Date is late February 1992.
1994 New River Train at Kanawha Falls, West Virginia
In 1994, NKP #765 was unable to pull the New River Train, so former Milwaukee Road #261 pitched in and put on a good show. This was the last year the New River train was pulled by steam. Date: October 15, 1994. I also did this in black and white to add a little more nostalgia to it.

CSX Coal Train at Cotton Hill, West Virginia 2
Shortly after an eastbound drag took #1 track east, this westbound came down #2 track with loaded coal (probably from Beckley) at Cotton Hill with dynamic brakes howlin'. The second SD40-2 unit is a freshly painted unit. Date: Late July 1992
