 | Amicalola Falls to Mt Frosty Solo Backpacking Trip On Easter Sunday Morning I set out from the Amicalola Falls State Park to hike as much of the AT Approach Trail as possible. Due to a late start, I only got as far as Mt. Frosty. Thanks to the book "A Wildly Successful 100 Mile Hike" by Rick Allnutt, I had the greatest time taking it easy and enjoying myself instead of rushing to "make good mileage." I spent the night in my Hennessy Hammock after hanging my food from bears and had a chilly night. |

 | Day 1-Amicalola Falls to Stover Creek on the Appalachian Trail This is the first of my Appalachian Trail hiking. This is day one of a two-day hike. I have not done any long distance hiking since I was a Boy Scout. I felt pretty good about how well I handled the distance and the hike.
