For the first part of my summer, I am traveling across the country to spread awareness of hunger in children in the United States with the SIFE team from OSU. I will be posting videos everyday to help publicize our cause and to help build awareness of the situation. Due to internet connection, I had to delay the first day, so this is a little late. However, I will post up a video for everyday of the trip so that anyone can follow what I do each day. Today was just a travel day to San Fransisco from Corvallis. Our goal for the trip: Over the coming year, SIFE will share their findings through websites and create curriculum to teach elementary and middle school children about the issues of hunger in America. SIFE has also pledged to collect 55,000 pounds of food (one pound for every citizen of Corvallis) over the next year to donate to the Benton County Food Bank. The students have raised money and gotten sponsors from a variety of companies to help support the cost of the trip.
