Riding the sick, noisy, old elevator at the Dobie Mall Parking Garage, which uses a new power unit, and therefore is my absolutely LEAST favorite elevator. Technical specs: General-Dover/Inground Hydraulic. Performance-2500 Lbs/25 HP. Distance-50 feet/6 floors & 150 FPM. Year-Installed/Early 1970's. Power unit specs: Old power unit-Dover dry power unit, with blue housing, 25 HP motor, & relay controller. New power unit-ThyssenKrupp submersible power unit, with gray housing, 25 HP motor, & digital controller. Color coding-Red/1, orange/2, yellow/3, green/4, blue/5, & purple/6.
