The video ends with some of my favorite shots clicked while in the Arches area. Music: Star Guitar (Chemical Brothers) Camera: Canon PowerShot A610 This being my first experiment with time-lapse, its far from being perfect but I hope to shoot some more in the coming months. Making of this Video: The Chewing Gum Act I had been thinking about doing this for quite some time, but finally got a chance on this trip to Utah, when for once I was not going to be in the driver's seat. It didn't take me long to realize that I did not have the stuff to ensure steady camera position to shoot this, nor did I have any fancy remote shutter release. My simple Point-and-Shoot Canon Powershot A610 on a shaky Wrangler dashboard was all I had. Unexpectedly, there was too little legroom to actually place my tripod, which I had originally planned to use. No scotch tapes in our Jeep either, so I looked for other ways to mark a border the base of my camera placed on the dash and hold it within the frame all the while- but no pen-ink showed against the black dash either. So all my plans for my first time-lapse came crashing down. but then... out of a fit of epiphany ...out came my chewing gum which I stuck to the diagonal edges of the base of my camera. As disgusting as it sounds, it worked like a charm and gave me an idea of where to keep the camera on the dash to not have too-shaky a foreground going from one image to the next. The rest, as I like to remember.....is all Utah geography . Enjoy, Kunal Rohilla

 | Day 21 - Arches National Park - Utah Our first Utah adventure was to visit Arches National Park. Arches has more sandstone formations than any other place in the world. The colors of the rocks contrasted against the vegetation and the blue sky is a sight to be seen. The topography is truly breathtaking and in all my travels I have never seen anything that compares to the uniqueness of this park. Taking advantage of the day we hiked through the Devils Garden, a trail that passes several of Arches' more notable rock formations.... |

 | Flight Salt Lake City - Fairbanks As we leave Salt Lake City we have a clear view of the ground, seeing crop fields and cities in between the mountains while the background sky is covered by high cirrus clouds taking on beautiful sunset colors. Farther north we encounter a band of cirrus clouds (and as a few bumps in the video suggest, some turbulence) and after that a flat low cloud cover with a few cumulus popping up.
