In this video I discuss the dictotomy between Hampton Jitney's coach operations and transit operations. Hampton Jitney DOES NOT allow use of its coach buses to travel within the East End or Long Island, despite the fact, in many cases the coach buses run more often than the transit routes (such as the 10c). In addition, in the summer the connection between the 10c bus and S94 is rarely honored. The bus drivers do not care if you are inconvienenced. The customer service is poor. Because driving is almost always the best option for visiting the east end, millions of cars clog our roads heading out east, creating extra carbon dioxide, traffic jams, and litter which harms the delicate ecosystems of the East End. It is paramount a transportation system be developed, and part of that is making Hampton Jitney's routes more transit oriented.

Pretty ironic I made this video awhile back, warning of troubles for the MTA if Congestion Pricing didn't pass. Well it didn't pass, and now with that and another blow from the state in funding cuts, the MTA plans on deferring projects and raising fares. With gas prices at record highs, now is the WRONG time for this. Shame on the politicians in Albany!
