Okay, I've seen a lot of sleet in my life, but never hail.....at least not like this. I thought that the hail was cool, so I filmed it. I brought my camera down to the basement with me, because I hope that I would see a funnel cloud.....never did. Stopped near Foss Lake, Oklahoma where we witnessed a brief high based funnel cloud. Shortly after that the hail began to fall which started off as quarters but then grew larger and larger. When it was all over we collected a bunch and the biggest we found was the size of a tennis ball. [2.5"] with many golf balls. Hail Storm in Fayetteville 2
Here's the view from the sunroom at the back of the house. Look at those babies bounce!! I have always liked the idea of indoor water features but I hadn't counted on the leaks in the roof/ceiling. This video shows the storm easing off a bit BUT that was just to lull me into a false sense of security - the next downward rush of ice was more furious and did more damage. I think however that the biggest damage is going to be to my hip pocket.

Video of a tornadic supercell I tracked from near Oxford, Alabama into western Georgia. At times, hail larger than baseballs accompanied the vicious storm; also wind damage and numerous funnel clouds were reported along this storm's path (after I broke off the chase, the same supercell dropped softball sized hail in Fayette county, Georgia).
