Factory Tile Roto-Sphere Neon Sign at Night South Bend IN.

Title:
Factory Tile Roto-Sphere Neon Sign at Night South Bend IN.

Description:
This sign is near the hotel we stay at in South Bend for the Studebaker meets. I love it but it doesn't spin and has some neon burned out, still looks very cool!

This was taped for my blog post about the history of sputnik signage: www.thelope.com This is a restored Roto-Sphere at El Comedor restaurant in Moriarty New Mexico on Route 66. Original was taped on analog 8mm in 2003. Lacking transfer capability, I played it on TV and recorded an mpg with a digital camera - low-tech, but good for illustrating motion.
