This is the Romanza (2nd movement) from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's well-known "Eine Kleine Nacht Musik" (A Little Night Music). I played it on the Pusztaszabolcs Organ (sorry about the unpronouncable name) which is in Hungary. The organ dates from 1778, which means it was buiilt during Mozart's (short) life, although he almost certainly never played it! I am sorry about the mistakes in my playing, but I tried for hours and couldn't get through it with no errors at all!  | Voluntary in A Major for organ The Voluntary in A Major is a two movement work written for organ by William Selby, a Boston organist and composer who lived from 1738-1798. This performance was recorded on August 29, 2009 at Eden Lutheran Church in Riverside, CA on a 1966 MP Moller pipe organ. The temperature outside at the time was 110 degrees, and unfortunately parts of the organ are out of tune. The organist is David Christensen. |
