In their previous 3 meetings in the 07-08 season, Farrell recorded 3 pins, one in each of the 3 periods. Here, after going down early, Capaldi puts Farrell to his back with a 5-point lateral drop in the 3rd period, nearly pinning Farrell. Capaldi then proceeds to let Farrell up but waits to long to attempt a takedown, which would have forced overtime. Final Score: Farrell wins by a 7-5 decision Farrell went on to take 3rd in the tournament and the following week he won the Rhode Island state championship.
