***Watch in High Quality*** Take a ride on-board Metro-North train #1513 (6:29AM) from Southport to GCT using M2 8847 as the lead car. In this part of the video, we pass by Mt. Vernon East, Woodlawn, Williams Bridge, Botanical Garden, Fordham, Tremont, Melrose, Mott Haven Junction (where the Hudson comes together/diverges off), and we cross over the East River Bridge. Now here are a couple of corrections: 1. At about 5:44 when we pass a consist of Harlem/Hudson Line MUs, those are all M3s not M1s because at that time I had forgotten about the side window difference. 2. In this video we see Metro-North train #6849 (4:43PM) heading to South Norwalk connecting with train #6549 to GCT. This shuttle consists of CDOT Shorliner lll cab-car 6222 with a Shorliner ll CDOT car and a Shorliner lll MNRR car with Amtrak Genesis P40DC #833 pushing (notice that 833 still obtained it's full Amtrak paint scheme at that time). The engineer gives some good horn action in the video ... |
