 | Approach and Landing at Van Wert County, OH, August 25, 2009 Landing on grass at Van Wert County, OH. It was a windy day with the wind mainly out of the south. I called from the air to inquire about the condition of runway 18, which is turf. They said it was in good shape and had just been mowed, so I decided to land on the grass and then taxi over to the FBO for fuel. I came in a bit faster than usual so I bounced it very slightly -- not my best grass strip landing! :-) |
