 | Windstorm Oregon coast Power lines of Doom This was taken during the height of the Dec. 3, 2007 windstorm on the Oregon coast, Nahalem River over floodstage w/ debris flows of freshly blown down logs.(Like the Mt. St. Helens log flows on the Cowlitz River.) Winds in this area were probably exceeding 80 mph as you can see on the water. Why these cars chose to drive through this extremely dangerous situation is amazing! Yes, the lines were sparking! |
